What is IV Sedation and how does it work?
IV sedation involves injecting a sedative into your arm to help you feel relaxed during dental procedures.
- How It Works: Your Dentist will place a drip into your arm, shortly after you will feel drowsy, in a deep state of calm with reduced anxiety. It is important to note you will be conscious throughout the procedure and able to communicate with our clinical team.
- Duration: The effects begin quickly and last for the duration of the treatment, throughout the procedure your vital signs ware monitored to ensure your safety.
- Post-Treatment: You may feel drowsy afterward, and you will need someone to take you home and to avoid certain tasks while you recover. In some cases, you will have limited memory of the procedure.
