Dentures

What Type Of Dentures Do I Need?

Dentures can be either full – replacing all your teeth or partial – replacing a few missing teeth.

They can be made with acrylic or a combination of metal and acrylic. Dentures can be made in advance, so they can be fitted the day teeth are removed or later once healing has finished.

Advantages of dentures include improved appearance – giving you the confidence to smile, improved speech and helps improve your ability to eat.

What is the process of getting dentures?

After the initial consultation the denture process consists of a series of appointments spaced approximately two weeks apart to allow for any lab work to be completed.

  • Impressions (moulds) will be taken
  • Recording your bite position and smile line, choosing the right shade of teeth
  • A mock-up of the denture will then be made and fitted to check the fit, shape and tooth colour.
  • Finished denture will be fitted and any adjustments necessary will be made. We also discuss any at home denture care
